Radio 1 - circa 1970s?

Anyone remember listening to the Top 40 Countdown on Sunday nights - fingers hovering over the record and play ons on the radio cette recorder so you could cut out Simon Bates' talking, and never quite managing it. Then switching over to Radio Luxemburg in all its crackly, fading in and out glory. And Radio One DJs - Diddy David Hamilton, Gary Davis' Willie on the Plonker (so to speak), Steve Wright in the afternoon, Our Tune - and who else couldn't stand DLT? Oh happy days.
