Which religion, if any, is benefitting most from the advent of the internet?
I would argue that Wicca is, and here's why: It's a religion that doesn't go around prosyletizing, and people who discover it and find it to their liking often find themselves the only person they know personally with an interest. Previously they were at a loss to connect with other Wiccans, but thanks to the internet, they can access the writings of fellow Wiccans, connect with them via message boards and mailing lists, and generally find the type of community that would be, for many of them, impossible otherwise (especially since so many Wiccans feel the need to not speak of their religion for fear of persecution).
