CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH SILENT HILL 2!?

Hello I just resently bought silent hill 2 for the xbox, and it didnt work, when i press to start a new games right after selecting difficulties, it goes to loading screen and never comes out of it, just footprints walking across the screen. i tried it on xbox and 360 and the same results happened.(i asked this already but for some reason it got deleated!!!!)
