So, I know that this boy likes me. And I like him back, but i have issues reciprocating... help?

I am the most awkward thing around boys. Like no joke, super awkward. But I know this kid is interested in me and i am definitely interested back, but when im around him and want to say something that... you know... leads him on (in a good way!) i tend to become really quiet and awkward. I dont know if its the fact that I have extreme PDA issues (including verbal... it sickens me) or if I just cant get over my shyness.. anyway i am afraid that if i dont reciprocate i might lose him... and i dont want that to happen at all. does anyine have any advice for me? anything is welcome! thanks guys!
